Can you love someone who hurt you? How do you love someone the turned their back on you? Left you? Broke you? Blindsided you? Jesus did this through out His whole life here on Earth. How? I am still learning but there is so much power in love.
We all want to be loved. In love there is sacrifice. We must be willing to give over our selfish wants. You must be willing to surrender over your anger and pain. To break down the walls that you built in defense.
To learn this the key is to look to Jesus. Look to the word. Which is a lamp to our feet. I ask God to search my heart remove anything that isn’t from Him, that I have hidden in there. For me it was holding on to unforgiveness which turned into bitterness and anger. I had to be honest with myself and really ask God to remove it from my heart because it was making me unhealthy. And forget any relationships moving forward with that in your heart.
So do some inventory on your heart. Time to let it go. Time to face the pain. Time to stop letting past pains infect you any longer. Look to Jesus. He will give us strength.
- Do not let your emotions control you. Surrender them.
- Don’t keep going back to the same situations expecting different results.
- Give yourself time to heal do not follow the world of rebound. Get healthy.
- Work on your love relationship with God and everything else will prosper.
1 Peter 4:8 Above all love each other deeply, because love covers over multitude of sins.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
